I'd take a bet on that now if I could get 15:1 or better.

It seems to me that Michelle Obama is probably the most admired and popular woman in USA right now.

She is:

Gorgeous
Articulate
Intelligent
Dynamic
Believable
Much more popular than he husband

Also, she comes across as someone who would slot into politics like I bet she does a pair of sheer pantyhose.

The kids are old enough now - get into Senate in 2018, 4 years there, two years prepping to take over from Hillary.

Michelle hates politics and DC. Will never happen. Too bad, Republican heads exploring over it would be about the most amazing thing ever.

Start a campaign; make her change her mind. Being anti-Washington doesn't seem to have done Trump any harm.

I'm gonna get bumper stickers made.

And running for president is the fastest way she could pick to change that. What possible motive would she have? She isn't power-hungry like Hillary. There's really no upside for her.

Unlike Clinton, Michelle has not shown an interest in politics her entire career. She may remain a supporting figure after this election, yet I highly doubt she will further involve herself than she already has. She does great at giving supporting speeches, her personal campaigns are fairly low key that only receive minor even token opposition. I just don't see the hallmarks of a person planting the seeds of a future in politics. if anything, I believe she will be happier to be out of the White House and more ably to speak freely.

Can we please stop with the dynastic politics?

Rejecting a candidate because of their family relationships is just as silly as voting for them because of their family relationships. On the other hand, the "voting" part kind of undermines the "dynastic" part.

But this aversion to "dynastic" politics does present an interesting conundrum in the current US presidential campaign.

And then Chelsea in 2032!

I would support both of these, but don't expect either one. Both women have seen enough of the political mud bath from the sidelines, I suspect, to inoculate them from wanting to get in and wrestle that particular pig for themselves.

I would like to see Michelle Obama active at the state level, though. She's a very smart person.

That's true to a certain extent... but isn't it a worrying sign for our society if only a very small group of aristocratic families take turn providing our leaders? That seems kind of feeble for a nation that has had great leaders from humble stock like Lincoln and Truman. And seems like it may be highlighting a structural flaw in our process.

Government of the people, by the 0.01%, for... the people?

Absolutely. It's ridiculous.

I'm thinking of starting a livery company. Get your heraldic t-shirts, baseball caps here!

Ye noble houses of Clinton and Bush... or thee braggart usurper Trump!

Bush:
Coat of arms of a ye skulls and bones upon a sable field

Clinton:
The coat of arms of ye deleted email has recently replaced the prior arms of white waves upon an azure field.

Hells yes. It's incredibly troubling.

...

Only as seen through the distorted lens of Obama sycophants.

More to the point - who believes that admired, popular, gorgeous, are qualifications ?

Sable, a skull and crossbones.

(the skull and bones is commonly understood and does not require detailed description)

Azure, base argent wavy.

("email" isn't enough to render arms in blazon)

Are you suggesting that "admired" isn't a qualification for the job?

I sure as hell am. People are admired for certain qualities that other people find admirable. Some of those qualities might themselves be qualifications for the job, but being admired is not itself a qualification.
