US Embargo against Wikileaks

No, the "problem" is self-absorbed paunks who choose to make themselves enemies of a superpower, and then whine piteously when they are not able to do so with complete impunity.
Ah, I was talking about the problem for people who care about human rights, not the problem for the scum in the US government.

Yeah. I know you were propagandizing against the evil US government, as you are doing in most of your posts.

But I was talking about the whiny little self-absorbed wikileaks paunks. Frankly, I care about as much about their "human rights" as they care about mine, which is approximately (0). And frankly, I'm quite certain those "scum" in the US government care more about my human rights than you or the wikipaunks. After all, it has hardly been you or the wikipaunks who have guaranteed my rights so far.

So I'm afraid your little pretense of being the brave defender of my "human rights" has fallen on deaf ears.

And don't even bother trying that again. I'm not ever going to buy that noise.

Well, but how would they manage to brand Wikileaks a Terrorist organization? By definition that's not the case.

Not to mention how ridiculous that would sound to many Americans and the rest of the world if the land of the "free" once again turned into the "land of the oppressing world-führer", so to speak.

How naive or partisan are you? Who (in the US government) cares how it "sounds" to many Americans and the rest of the world? Did that stop Bush? Will it stop Obama? The answer to both is "no".

How would they manage? They've already managed through non-judicial means, directing the compliant US media to parrot their denunciations of Wikileaks as uniquely dangerous/special/terroristic.

That, plus current US Congresspeople vouching and speaking for Mujahedeen e-Khalq, a current FTO list terrorist org that has killed US citizens in the past, but these Congresspeople not being investigated by the Justice Department.

How naive are you? The Justice Department decides who they want to go after for political reasons, not objective, sober, legal reasons.

"not to mention" not to mention how ridiculous it would sound to Americans to keep foreign and US nationals in jails without charges for a decade, and releasing many of them before the decade because they were obviously wrongly detained. How ridiculous? Apparently so ridiculous that Americans don't give a f*** about a few hundred detainees, as long as their stupid selves feel safer thinking the government is actually doing something.

It's amazing you can cite "ridiculousness" with the obvious recent demonstration of a same ridiculousness ala Gitmo.

As I've grown older I've seen that memories of partisans only go back three or so years; prior to that they simply parrot the 1984esque doublespeak prior. Saddam DID have WMD, he sent them to Syria! Bin Laden WASN'T the main target, some ephemeral regime change was!

Because things NEVER change and everyone who agrees does it through direction

Things never change unless a Power decides it should be changed. Obama isn't such a Power (as far as the topical change). Not sure if you agree or not.
