Again, though, we see the fundamental difference between the GOP, who doubles down on each and every lie, and the Dem's, who at least sometimes admit when they made a mistake.

Okay, maybe you missed my comment about unnamed sources and taking them with a grain of salt? Attributing the "White House" is no different than attributing an "unnamed White House official". The "White House" is not a named source.

Respect in politics from both sides is sorely lacking. I would not be surprised if it is true and I believe the President should be treated with respect.


Almost everyone should be treated with respect.

I imagine someone, somewhere, in the Republican party would reply: for over five years, he has treated our party and our country with disrespect - why should we continue to respect him when he has desecrated so much that we hold holy?

The republicker party (what used to be the Republican Party but was beaten down to the malign and pathetic thing it is today) chose the path it took to get here when it sold itself for votes to the religious right in the 80s and then more recently shot off it's feet and hands by letting it's masters found and fund the supposed grassroots Teabaggers. The Republican Party did deserve respect. What it has become deserves none at all.

How can I say this respectfully?
Engaging in name calling tends to weaken one's position. Especially in a discussion of respect and deserving respect.
