Underwater crop circles!

Looks like an aquatic version of 'fairy rings', the expanding circular growth pattern of mushroom/toadstool fungus.

"- I skoven og i villahaver har man jo hekseringe, altså en svamp, der vokser i cirkulære mønstre. Det her kunne måske være en tang-art, der gør noget tilsvarende, lyder gættet fra undervisningschefen."

I could'nt have said it better my self

It looks like there are many ring shapes there already, and some have just darkened. Perhaps because of sendiment removal, or some fungus (as mentioned above) or algae, etc, settling in some of the ring areas, and spreading along them.

Or something hunting. Are there dolphins in the area? They (I think it's them) have been known to agitate mud in big circles to trap prey shoals - leaves a similar trace.

Yes, dolphins do that (no idea if that's the case here):

Thanks! You have to love David Attenborough!

The circles in the video look lighter than those in the OP, although that could be due to different sediment types...

Porpoises are quite common around here, but I don't know if they do the same.

The circles are irregular in shape, and do not always meet at the ends, and sometimes have markings in the middle that are muddled. Clearly not aliens trying to communicate!

I think it is definitely some form of underwater invasive vegetation or fungi. It could be suggested that at some point all of these circles started as a small lump, and grew outward until the died or ran out of food. If you look at the one empty circle in the middle lower portion of the photo it showed no vegetation as if to allude to the idea that whatever is creating these circles most certainly WAS in this space and ate up the foodz in this circle.

Conclusion: Something nomming outward creating concentric patterns
