Does anyone planning to vote Conservative actually think Cameron's politics will actually make their lives better?
He has politics? When did this happen? I thought his entire existence was to shout "Rubbish" at whoever was opposite him.

Seriously I am not aware of a single Cameron policy.

Change may currently be desirable but I am a loss to define what options we actually have.

Other than minor cultural differences, I see little reason to think of Scottish people as different to English people*. The whole push for Scottish independence seems to be based on an irrational emotional reaction to the outcome of battles and politics which are both ancient history and totally irrelevant today, and canny politicians on the make.

I fear that your failure to identify the differences is in itself syptomatic of the wider differences between our two countries and one of the issues behind Scottish moves towards independence.

We have our own entirely seperate educational system. We have our own entirely seperate legal system. We have a distinct planning system. We have a seperate health service (betcha didn't know that) with different spending priorities. We have our own national newspapers (and I don't mean Scottish editions of the English press). Nearly every single government body is distinct and seperate from the so-called "national" body and we have different strategic policy goals. Our own banking system. Some of us even have our own language, ach tha beaurla agamsa.

To suggest that the two nations are culturally identical (or nearly so) demonstrates a breath-taking lack of understanding, focussing on cosmetic issues. The differences are no less than betwixt Ireland and the UK/ Instead, you seek to attribute it to sour grapes or whinging - and you wonder why independence enjoys popular support?
