UFO spotted (pic)

This appeared in a local Norwegian newspaper:

This is a reflection of a laser pointer in the car window.

We don't know the distance to the object, or the size of the object. Therefore, it is impossible to say anything about either. That they try to estimate its height (50 m high) is not evidence of anything.

However, if we venture a guess, the bright object would be somewhere out hovering over the water. Where is the reflection of the object in the water? There is none.

An object as bright as this does not illuminate the banks of the fjord?

Look at the reddish area just around the bright light. It is far more pixellated than the surrounding area. A laser pointer pointing directly at a glass car front window would diffract exactly like that (try it yourself, BUT WEAR VERY DARK SUNGLASSES!!).

There are also some very odd aspects of this. They "forget" that they took a picture? They "forget" that the film roll was in the drawer for two years? We don't hear from the other witnesses?

Big. Red. Flags.
 
C'mon, Claus, you mean it's not aliens!?!

I for one am shocked.
 
It also looks out of focus, like some cameras that focus on the glass when you try to shoot through a window..
 
Just the fact that there are people in this world that could look at this picture and not see it as just bad photography scares the bejesus out of me!

I can understand some of the "better" pictures that may fool some people, but this is just bad.

An incredibly slow ' news ' day...

Norway should try to get involved in a war somewhere.. It looks like they ( at least one paper, anyway ) are hurting for news-worthy photos...

Yea, I guess your right and need to remember this. Hell, even a couple flats tires claimed to be a miracle hit the papers in Texas today. :)
 
oh my god, aliens. None of the other pictures I've seen really convienced me, but this one really does it for me. That's aliens; it has to be.

Oh great alien heros, show us the way to world peace and free energy.
 
Sigh. It's the same old story, isn't it? You see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear. You want to see a saucer? That's what your gonna see. Sigh.
 
I clicked on the link but I have no idea what "Fresvikjer blenda av lys fem kilometer unna" is supposed to mean.

It means "The Mammoths are approaching to within a few kilometers". Kilometer is a distance measure used in some third world countries.


BTW, no Scandinavian will give you the real poop on this. It is like Arafat speaking Arabic to his buddies and English to outsiders.

What are they hiding with those umlouts and thornes and things, hmmmmmmmm?

Of course not! It uses a special form of light undiscovered by human beings! It emits light that it is only perceived by human eyes! No photons are emitted! Their technology is far superior! :D

Forget the laser pointer, it is simply a mirror image of the sun rising behind him. If you look at some of the peaks in the background you can see that the sun is rising.
What are they hiding with those umlouts and thornes and things, hmmmmmmmm?

Whatever it is, it looks to me like it's lying on the ground. Could be molten lava. Any volcanos in Norway?

If it's aliens, they could be from someplace nearby, such as Denmark. :p
