UFO Hoaxing 101

Once, years ago, I was asked to fake a UFO polaroid photo for the Montel Williams show. They had a bunch of people who had seen UFOs, one guy who said he was was captured (Fire in the Sky guy) and James Mcgaha, UFAF, ret.
The idea was to tell a story about taking the picture , showing it to the people and having Montel ask them if it looked like what they saw. One person agreed.
At that time the hoax was revealed. The point was made that, even way back then, photos could easily be faked.
Anything wrong with that?

You were 'asked' to perform a hoax, with a captive audience that was fully versed after the fact...

No. I see nothing wrong with your actions.

THAT is quite different than perpetrating a hoax upon an unwitting public, media, and ufologists...

Pretty neato! I sent it to a bud of mine who is getting sucked into the UFO thing. Not sure if it will make a difference, but I can hope.

Doing this to the unwitting public is a great way to show how people don't want to know the truth. How many times in the third vid of the OP did someone say, "Police say it may be flares on helium balloons. BUT THEY LOOK LIKE THE UFOs FROM ARIZONA!!!" Cut to Arizona clip.

Face it, KotA. You've been pwned repeatedly. All that remains is your faith.

Come over to the dark side ... you know you want to ... give in to your fear that you will never be certain of anything again ... give in to your doubt that everything you know is unreal ... give in to the dark side ... the daaarrrrrk sssiiiiide ...

While it may help for ufologists to sharpen their tools, there is greater harm done than good.

Do you have evidence of this, or is it just your opinion?

This is a video I posted to a woo forum, with no explanation whatsoever. I got a response from a woman in Florida who said it was the most astonishing 'ghost' video she'd ever seen. I explained to her that my kids and I made the video in under an hour and she refused to believe it; her response was something like, 'someone very close to you must've died at that location'.

So there you have it. The military is actively hoaxing the unwitting public, derailing otherwise legitimate and fruitful UFO research. Bastards.

So the ufotwoofers really were on to something - an on-going military conspiracy to hoax the public, and not an attempt to cover up any clandestine agreement with our reptilian overlords!

Yes please won't someone feel sorry for the poor "unwitting public, media, and ufologists..."
