UAL93 Encounter With PIT

Absolutely. I am a bit of a raconteur. I have told some stories so often that I can hardly remember the actual facts.

Amen to that!! I tend to rmember how I told a story, and remember my story-telling best when it had the greatest impact, so the versions with the most dramatic effect and cleanest, most distinguishable elements seems to get selected.

Funny or embarrassing if, years later, you encounter a second witness to the same event, or some sort of contemporary record, and you find out...

Bump for informational purposes. Getting an email inquiry about how UAL93 was 'off radar' like AAL77 was. Not true. UAL93 was always visible to air traffic controllers real time.

Bump for Yankee451 ... show me the cruise missiles please.

I was alerted by Miles Kara that there is a new effort to dispute the 10:03:11 crash time determined by the 911 Commission. So, I took a brief pause in my "retirement" to crunch the available data for a very rough estimate based on radar and fdr data. The main data sets for positional data match very well, so very easy to find a common positional data point to work with. My quick (and rough) crash time estimate is 10:03:05 +/- 7 seconds. Those of you familiar with error ranges, recognize that the two time estimates agree.

So once again, truthers 0, truth 1.

John, This might be related to the BS propagated by pfffft about 93 being airborne after the 9:03 time frame based on a paper that mentions a timeline for a telephone conversation in which the down time was being relayed to someone...

If it's related to that paper, I wrote a complete debunk of it and that should be somewhere here. The paper timeline they used is on the pffft web site and easy to find. It will likely take you less than 5" minutes to see the problem with their BS.

If this is it and you have any problem, give me a shout. I don't recall all of the details now, but I should be able to help with only a little research...

Edit: There's also the ACARS crap which I had forgotten about, but it's in a different thread. Here's the thread I was thinking about...

Actually, this one revolves around the seismic data and other stuff. I've decided to team up with some folks in the truth movement and write a formal paper similar to what I did for AAL77. It is not intended as a debunking effort, but rather an effort to have the available empirical data tell its own story. I've learned that some of my stuff is being represented poorly, so it is best that I present it so there are no misunderstandings.

I am open to all possibilities. I now have some experience working with radar data from a in-flight explosion (TWA800). There are definite signatures of such events. There is one such reporting from a 911 call from the plane at around 9:58-9:59. If it happened, the data will reflect it (unless it was too small to be a factor). So, we'll see what the data has to say. The problem is that it is in such a unfriendly format right now. A lot of the work will involve looking at each return individually and connecting it to an ARSR and object. Gonna take awhile :)
