U.S. Border and Immigration

Given that Trump was not an elected official and didn't have a vote, I don't think it's sensible to hold them accountable. Rather, all of the various republican congresscritters who can't use their brains are responsible.

Saying Trump is responsible would be like saying Jenny McArthy is responsible for some vaccination bill getting squashed. Politicians shouldn't be taking advice from idiots.

Big difference since Trump is the head of the republican party and they took their cues from their leader.

We should all be incensed by the fact that our elected representatives from both parties are taking their cues from non-elected party chairs instead of doing their job of representing the citizens.

Why is it that I only seem to hear racial epithets being spewed by people who make a habit of insinuating that other people are racists?

I don't know. Maybe you should get out more, I grew up with a lot of that ****. People like that usually know their audience.

Trump demanded the bill be rejected. His lapdogs in congress, who were prepared to vote for it, changed their votes at Trump's behest.

I see your point, and half agree, but the persons involved are part of an organization and the leader of that organization does have responsibility too.
There's a legal principle sometimes found in liability cases, where the degree of responsibility is secondary to the degree of control.

When a group of fools does what the fool in charge wants, the responsibility is at least shared, but if they do what he wants not because of its content but because of his presumed control, then the responsibility tips his way.

Of course this does not mitigate the fact that they are lily livered acolytes of folly who deserve all the incense you can burn, but there's enough responsibility to go around.

Okay, but I'm not sure how that explains or excuses the persistent pattern of behavior I've observed on ISF. Even the people that I personally view as being actually racist have never used racial epithets here. On the other hand, I've repeatedly seen them used by self-styled progressives.

What audience is it that you think Norman Alexander knows so well?

Trump isn't the leader of the Republican party. The current Chair is Michael Whatley, and prior to that it was Ronna McDaniel. I don't know who either of those are... but they're not Trump.

So far as I can tell, Trump doesn't hold any actual official positions within the Republican party. Although to be fair, neither party is particularly clear about their org structure and how the party is actually run.

That lack of transparency is something I find troublesome.

Oh, you sweet, innocent child. Bless your heart.

Trump is the ideological leader of the party, its chosen candidate, and the person whose word is listened to by most of the party. That is not at all to their credit but if they dance when he says to dance, and he knows it, then he's responsible for telling them to dance.

Yeah, okay, no. The president(ial candidate) is the de facto thought leader of the party. The people you named do little or nothing to bring the party's ideas into the public eye. It's the president(ial candidate) whose ideas affect the popular votes

And yet he can tell them what to do and they do it without question. In fact, they do it with malicious glee. Including in Congress. Just ask the Speaker.

So he's "not officially in charge", but actually is in complete control.

Jhon Moises Chacaguasay-Ilbis, an illegal alien from Ecuador, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder after suffocating and burying a 21 year old woman in a shallow grave.

It is believed he applied for asylum. He was probably fleeing Hitler and the Holocaust… or something.

Biden/Harris 2024!

Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, an illegal alien from El Salvador, has been arrested for murdering 2 individuals inside a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

The 2 people he murdered in broad daylight were probably SS storm troopers trying to throw him in a concentration camp… or something.

"You answered all the questions, Joe!"

Thank God good old Americans never commit heinous crimes! Oh, wait.

Two people arrested in Mississippi – including a man accused of killing a Louisiana woman last week and abducting her 4- and 6-year-old daughters, one of whom was found dead – have each been charged with capital murder and sexual battery in the children’s cases, police in Mississippi said Monday.

Daniel Callihan and Victoria Cox were arrested last week in Mississippi after authorities looking for the missing girls found the 4-year-old dead and the 6-year-old injured Thursday at a Jackson location investigators say could be tied to human trafficking, authorities had said.

A man who kidnapped, raped, and murdered a 5 year old girl from her own home in Georgia has been handed four death sentences for the horrific crime.

Jeremy Williams was sentenced on Monday by Russell County Circuit Court Judge David Johnson for the brutal murder, rape, and abuse of Kamarie Holland in 2021. H

Jhoan Esau Lemus-Ramos, a 23-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, has been arrested for forcibly raping a 13-year-old girl.

In March 2022, Lemus-Ramos met the victim in a parking lot in Herndon. When she attempted to resist Lemus Ramos’ sexual advances, he forcibly raped her.

For the next several months — through at least August 2022 — Lemus-Ramos repeatedly asked the victim for nude or semi-nude photographs. She eventually complied and sent the photos via cellphone.

When the victim wanted to stop interacting with Lemus-Ramos, he used the photos to threaten her and force her to have sex with him. The threats only stopped when the victim contacted Herndon police for help.

During his arrest, he assaulted a federal law enforcement officer and the injury required stitches. 'Cause that's what the Jews escaping the Holocaust under Hitler would do and stuff.

Rather than get into a pointless discussion, here's something I just saw on another forum I use:

Not much has changed. :(

Francisco Lopez-Ramirez, a 42-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, has been arrested for raping a minor girl.

Utah County jail records confirm not only that Lopez-Ramirez was arrested but that he was charged with raping a child and with unlawful sexual activity with a minor believed to be 16 or 17 years old.

Jews, Holocaust, Hitler…

Come on hating immigrants is far too useful to actually do anything about immigration.

A 6-year-old girl was killed by Zelmin Gomez, an illegal alien from Honduras, when he crashed his car while driving drunk.

Gomez had entered the US illegally, applied for asylum, had that application denied, and remained in the US.

But the Jews killed 6-year-old kids as they were fleeing the Holocaust under Hitler… probably.
