I haven't really done much lately against the 9/11 Deniers besides mocking them on various boards. Since I got a full-time job, I haven't had as much time debunking these fools. The "9/11 Deniers Speak" 2nd Edition is still under works, although I will probably release it when the time is right, instead of any given any moment.

Anywho, I still get emails about "Screw Loose Change" film, and I think you guys should take a look, since it shows just how strong our debunking is.

FIRST EMAIL

Hey Mark,

I'm a 17 year old high school student, and I've watched the original
Loose Change, Loose Change 2nd Edition, and Screw Loose Change, and
first off, I would like to express my deep respect and admiration for
you. This video is a breath of fresh air among the lies that pollute our
nation today.

About a month ago, me and my friend began to take interest in the 9/11
conspiracies. I told him about Loose Change, which I had watched a a few
months before. I must thank Dylan Avery for making this video, as it has
made me delve deeper into the studies of 9/11 and given me the clear and
truthful insight that I have today. When I first watched Loose Change, I
watched it with an open mind, although doubtful of it's truthfulness. I
must admit that it asked questions I could not answer, and presented
problems that were to me thought provoking. Had I not had a true desire
for truth, I would have accepted it at face value and not raised any
more questions. But, the video could not deprive me of my senses. Even
after it was all over, and the lies had been planted in my brain, I knew
for a fact that it wasn't true, even though I couldn't prove it with
concrete evidence. I feel blessed that I was given such a mindset, for
most people my age that watched this were sucked in totally. After I
watched it, I shrugged it off and left it alone. Then, when my friend
began to show an interest in debunking the 9/11 he told me about an
encounter he had with a 9/11 Denier at a local gun show. The denier told
him about Bin Laden being helped by CIA in Pakistan, etc. My friend
decided to research it, and within a matter of minutes had produced the
same evidence you presented in Screw Loose Change. This amused me a lot,
and I wondered how many other theories could be debunked so easily. Thus
began our study and research. To start I suggested we watch Loose
Change. By this time, Loose Change 2nd Edition had been released. This
was especially amusing to me, even more so when I found out how drastic
the changes were. We also discovered a little video called "Screw Loose
Change" and I'm glad we did. Your video gave us all the ammo we need to
fight the 9/11 deniers. I now feel ready to defend the truth and honor
of 9/11.

Even though me and my friend have been fortunate in our discoveries, it
pains me to see how much of our country is blind. It's strange how we're
called to "Wake up" when the deniers are the ones hitting the snooze
button. Me and my friend also have people close to us that are mislead
by the lies of these so called "truth seekers". Friends who, for some
bizarre and unexplainable reason, believe what Loose Change preaches. I
hate to have close friends mislead like that, and we're doing everything
we can to bring them to their senses. That's when I'm glad to have a
film like yours to show them. A film that presents the real truth. The
strangest thing to me, is that me and my friend are only 17. The perfect
age to be falling into the preachings of the 9/11 truth movement. But
instead, we have been granted insight, logic, and reason, and we have a
clearer knowledge than our peers, and in some cases our elders.

Again, thanks so much for fighting for the truth. I would like to extend
my hand to aid you in anyway to can to get this film to more people, so
we can spread the real truth, and help people to "Wake up".

SECOND EMAIL

Please do this with more of the video's online about 9/11.

How did I end up on your site? How did I end up believing the CT's? I think that most American's 'sense' that something is not right in our government. Perhaps this is false....however, maybe a week or so ago, I watched a show on PBS about the guys (I think they just got indicted - don't ask me for names lol) who bilked the Indian Reservations out of millions and our politicians who took bribes. It made me sick. I've always felt the government was crooked, I just didn't realize to what extent.

What is my point in telling you this? Because that show led me to then look up stuff about our goverment being crooked, which of course led to lots of CT sites. I could read, but when I did a search and found videos, well that was all she wrote. You know, images are very powerful and you really don't realize it while watching the stuff. It was like I was addicted for a week to 9 11 theories and that WT7........well now there was just no explanation for it at all ...right?

Being a skeptic (even though I felt the government was dishonest and vowed after the PBS show never to vote again)....I looked for sites to challenge the 10 hours of video's I watched. I had a heck of a time finding anything. I've been online for over 11 years now and usually can pull stuff up with the changing of a word or two, but this was not the case here. So all week I seethed on these thoughts of our government's deception and murder of our citizens....something hardly believable and yet, I believed it almost without question! At the very least, I felt they must reopen the investigation.

I told my boss at work....I told my daughter's boyfriend and even his father to explain some things to me but they too had a hard time. The CT's had to be right - the video was right there.........I didn't realize I was brainwashing myself everytime I watched another one and I almost took the HUGE leap of leading others down the wrong path as well. Now THAT is scarey indeed!

So last night 10/13, there I am still looking for something to refute the claims. I was still looking at CT videos and thank God for whomever posted your link to the comments because that was exactly what I was looking for - never expecting to believe it or for it to be so concise in it's sources & documentation. I think I was even thinking to myself 'ok, now let's see what sort of spin these people put on this'..........it wasn't there. I was shocked, horrified and felt like a traitor.......I felt like I was decieved and had desecrated the memory of every soul that died that day! CT's were not telling the truth..........they had no hard facts........they had no source information (reliable anyway)......it was an awful feeling!

This morning, after only getting about 2 hours sleep, I went over to Fox because I knew there was a video there that was recent about the 9/11 coverup stuff with Bill O'Reily. I used to like Bill O'Reily, but then I got into all this stuff online and felt that the media was just controlled by other people. They did cut that one guy off in mid-sentence on another video I saw......I wonder how out of context that was (you MUST go and do the other videos that are out there!!). I emailed the general news department I suppose with a link to your site/video and told them to PLEASE get the information out because this movement IMO is a dangerous one! I never thought that until after I watched your video take of it, but I do now. This could be a terrible thing for our country.

I also then went back onto google and attempted to post your web link to every video CT's had on there that indicated a 9 11 coverup. If people are REALLY seeking the truth, they will be prompted to watch yours as well and then decide. If they are not, then I wonder just who the 'sheeple' really are. They remind me of the Mormon Cult who refuse to read outside information as if they MIGHT just be persuaded to believe the truth! It makes me suspicious.

In any case, Mark - thank you! I appreciate your effort/time/research. I will continue to use much of your information to do what I can when I run across people who may have seen this unsubstantiated crap and believed it. I just cannot believe how gullible I was and I consider myself pretty smart! LOL

Thank you Marky! Sometimes I feel the woos are winning. It's nice to know that that is not entirely true.
 
For what it's worth, my experience parallels these. I watched Loose Change and bought it, hook, line, sinker, trolling motor, and boat. I chose to believe it without really looking into it at all, since my hatred of our president runs deep. I guess I just wanted to believe it, although soon after seeing LC, my conscious was bothered. I knew something wasn't right, but refused to address it. I told my friend about it, and he dove into it just as passionately as I did.

Then I somehow happened upon Screw Loose Change, and from that point on, a complete reversal occured. I immediately told my friend that I was an idiot, and completely wrong about the 9/11 conspiracy. I guess swallowing one's pride is good for the soul every now and again. I forwarded him the link to SLC and he agreed that we were stupid to take the word of a 23 year old film school flunky over that of thousands of experts.

So, thanks to MarkyX, I no longer bounce around the internet making an ass of myself and have a much better sense of skepticism. Thanks, Mark.
 
It's moments like these that make watching and critiquing these cruddy movies all worthwhile.

I agree. Just when it gets old, and tiresome, you see you and others like you are making a difference, even if it is one person at a time. That is the reason we do this.

The difference between "us" and "them", is that most of "us" are ordinary people, with regular lives, who do this because we do not want to see our fellow man misled, and our world misled by falsehoods and speculation. We do not gain financially from this. Noone here is making any money or fame from the debunking.

Now "them", they are different. Many of their leaders are making money, and fame, from what they do. AJ and DA are both bringing in cash, and have become celebrities within. Fetzer, Jones, and Woods, all whacky, "outthere" Scholars have found themselves as the "leaders" of something, where only reclusion and geekdome had lived before. Even the "truth" sheeple have different motives. For them, it is to create an interesting, intriguing, big bad world, for their bored minds. The real world is much less sinister, much less crazy, much less conspiratorial, and for many of the mind blasted MTV generation, the real world...welll it is just ...boring. They want a Tom Clancy world, so they decide to believe anything that promotes such a universe.

SO for "us", we don't need the money, or if we do, we dont want it at the hands of this tragedy, so we collect our reward in the form of emails like MarkyX has recieved, or even a simple post, indicating that our discussions, our debates, have convinced someone of the REAL truth about 9/11.

I agree TAM, though I'd also add that they make up these nutty theories to sleep better at night - because by blaming the government, pulling up all manner of woo woo, they don't have to confront the fact that the world is actually a nasty place, that there are people out there who want other people dead for no other reason than a nationality, an ethnicity, a race. It is comforting to blame Big Bad BushCo than to realize that there are murderers and thugs out there who cannot be controlled or so neatly placed in a rational 'theory'.

Agreed. There is definately a CT'er mentality which requires there to be an omnipotent cabal of evil do'ers who can make planes crash and buildings collapse bacause otherwise the chaotic nature of reality is just too much to handle.

Perhaps that explains the CD theory, and especially, WTC7.

To the ill-informed, it looks like a little bit of damage managed to bring enormous structures crashing down, and not only that, it then caused a building BESIDE it to come crashing down.

That's a level of "violent random world" that, IMHO goes even beyond random deadly acts of terrorism.

Another part of the problem is that these arm chair physicists and engineers see something that looks incredible and simply by intuition or a "gut feeling" infer that something sinister is afoot. Meanwhile, anyone who has studied science seriously will understand that what you "expect" to happen in any phenomenon is often NOT what happens at all!

Gravy's debunk as the BLOCKED the links to it from the board :eek:
