Truther Candidates Completely Rejected By US Voters

Gee, where did he say the Bush administration or the Republicans?

"the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11."

Now does that completely embrace what all the debunkers are screaming about here everyday? For instance who do you think "should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day"?

I mean as a debunker and all I'm interested in your thoughts on accountability.

You cannot even quote yourself honestly - he did not say:

the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11

He said, according to you:
the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks

And the US Government of the day waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas.....?

No. I'm asking any JREF debunker who they think "should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day."?

Honestly according to you.

He completely dismisses MIHOP and LIHOP, and pretty much all we ever say is there were security failures and lack of communication between agencies for a long time leading up to 9/11. So yeah, he's saying what we're saying.

I notice your carefully-mined quote leaves out the "it" at the start of Obama's sentence, subverting his meaning that the entire system led to holes in it being exploited. He in no way, shape or form suggests any one individual or set of them should be held accountable.

This is like a movie reviewer saying "this is easily the worst movie of the year. I wanted to stand up and cheer it was finally over when the end credits started rolling" and getting quoted as saying "this movie will make you stand up and cheer."

Gee, where did he say the Bush administration or the Republicans?

Well, gee, who else was it who received "The series of clear warnings about the potential use of hijacked planes as weapons"?

I thought you truthers were experts at reading between the lines and connecting the dots; now all of a sudden this fails you?

Now does that completely embrace what all the debunkers are screaming about here everyday?

Show me where debunkers are screaming about there being no need for accountability "every day", or admit you're building a strawman.

Wrong part was bolded. Here's the proper emphasis:

I am curious to know how this is supposed to prove even LIHOP, let alone MIHOP. It's LIHOI, therefore non-conspiratorial. Which is a conclusion that just about all of us here have already come to independently.

ETA: Oh, I forgot to answer your question.

Yes. Completely rejected. His statement clearly accepts that terrorists using hijacked airliners were behind the event. And his dismissal of "government complicity" is a clear indication that he's discussing incompetence, not letting-it-happen-on-purpose. That is total rejection of the conspiratorial stance by Obama.

You still forgot tho answer.

Who do you think "should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day."?

Is that what you were doing? Reading between the lines? Are you an expert at it?

Sure. Are most debunkers here for further investigation? Who are you all for being held accountable and based on what investigation?

Completely Rejected?

Dear Penny:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your belief that the U.S. government was complicit in the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. I appreciate hearing your passionate views on this matter.

While I do not believe the U.S. government was complicit in the attacks, I do think it should be held accountable for the unacceptable mistakes it made in the run-up to that terrible day. The blunders that occurred prior to the 2001 attacks were inexcusable and often outrageous. The series of clear warnings about the potential use of hijacked planes as weapons is just one example of why the "surprise" of 9/11 should have been anticipated. In my view, proof of government complicity is not necessary when making the argument that the U.S. should accept some responsibility for what happened on 9/11.

Thank you again for writing.

Sincerely,

Barack Obama
United States Senator
Do you have a link to where this "letter" came from?
BTW Obama elected president is going to futther drive the truther deeper into non existence.

Homelandinsurgency, that letter is a diplomatic 'complete rejection' if I ever heard one.

Most truthers on this forum claim that the government was directly complicit in the attacks. If you on the other hand are simply claiming that they could have done more to 'read the signs' and could have been a little more competent in the years leading up to the event, then you'd probably get a more rational debate instead of the mocking responses your usual drivel deserves.

You still forgot tho answer.

Why should I have answered? You never asked the question of me.

On top of that, your question is an evasion. We have pointed out to you your opportunistic misuse of Obama's message to imply that he has sympathy for the truther narrative. He does not. And you have not conceded that. Obama has certainly rejected any notion that the government is complicit. He explicitly says that.

One can hope, but if you have been to Prison Planet you would see the Twoofers are already screaming about how Obama is just another tool of "THEM",and that Biden was "in on it".

Good thing prison planet are a bunch of morons, or I'd be scared right now

Obama's letter is the classic "mistakes were made" statement that most rational people say when looking at what happened. Our intelligence and security infrastructure was wide open for infiltration. Doesn't mean the government let it happen, but it does mean that they are partially responsible. Not because of malice, but because of incompetence. You would be hard pressed to find any politician who would disagree.

On top of that, you would be hard pressed to get ME to disagree.

Thats why people want further investigation into the matter.
Most debunkers try to excuse the incompetence like it couldnt be prevented.

Strawman.

Way to move the goalposts, too. One day - MIHOP. Another day - LIHOP. Today, LIHOI. Just askin' questions, I suppose.

I fully and completely agree with what President-elect Obama said in that letter. Heck, I'd even state that the actions of the US over recent (for a given value of recent) years prior to 9/11 ALSO contributed to the attacks by fuelling the ones responsible.

I am proud to be what I am in terms of 9/11, and that is a LIHOI proponent. I think that there were SERIOUS issues with US intelligence and that these need to be addressed, those responsible punished and the whole issue put to bed.

This does NOT mean I think that Bush should be arrested for treason. I can't stand the petty little jerk, I hate his politics and I hated his time in office. Had he done something I would be shouting for his immediate removal. The fact is, Obama, being a rational, intelligent man, seeks to pin the blame on those responsible within the government who were incompetent only and not malicious. Anyone who reads this as an acceptance of truther views is deluded enough to believe the US government decided to fly planes into their own buildings causing a severe economic slump in order to into an unpopular war in which the oil benefits gained were vastly overshadowed by the severe issues it has born.

Oh wait...

Belief in 9/11 truth takes ignorance on many subjects. Therefore the candidates who support 9/11 truth ideas are dirt dumb. Most people can see how dumb these people in general, let alone on 9/11 issues.

In addition to Kevin Barrett declaring victory in his Congressional race based on amount of money spent per vote received, 9/11 twoof continues to bring the hilarity. Over at 911blogger, they're actually congratulating McKinney on pulling 144,286 votes. Yeah, congratulations on pulling 1/451 of Obama's vote total, and 1/396 of McCain's! Marvel at how quickly truthism is sweeping across the landscape!
