Yes, and, frankly, both parties like to dodge the issue. Bitter turth is fixing the deficit will require higher taxes and cuts in spending, and each one is anathema to one of the major parties.

Frankly, the only military action against Iran and it's allies I would favor is to open the Gulf. Allow Iran a stanglehold on the Gulf and the world's economy is not a viable solution.
But if there is a major new war before November, that will seal the fate of the GOP in November.

A cousin of mine jokingly suggest she move to Barnesville, where she lives, a smal town in Western Minnesota that would be a perfect location fo Smallville .

.. which can only be achieved long-term by occupying Southern Iran - something requiring probably no more than 200,000 troops.
 
Trump: I got Greenland. I got it… Denmark, They've only had it from 1592. That's not that old when because President Xi from China was here, I was showing him the White House. 1792, the White House, that's when it was built, and I was showing President Xi and I was so proud of it because I fixed it, you know, it, it was like a dump. They didn't take care of it.
