And right now he is also in the final stages of manic, florid dementia just prior to fleeing to a bolt hole in a safe haven, leaving a trail of dead bodies, pointless skirmishes with neighbouring countries, failed grandiose "government building projects", a raging national economic disaster, an enraged populace, and a coterie of betrayed and confused flunkies left to take the fall for him.

I wouldn't really call referencing the well-documented and publicly expressed political opinions of an author who has blatantly and extensively incorporated those opinions into every book he's written for the last several decades, "use of science fiction works or myths as if they were fact", if that's what you meant.
The Conservative idea that Liberals hate the military and want it to fail is common, although usually it's "Maybe you could spend less money? Why do you hate the military!!!"

The Missouri Supreme Court just ridiculously ruled in favor of changing the maps back to what they were a long time ago. It’s called, Ancient History! The problem is,
according to Legal Scholars, that not only was the ruling horrible, ridiculous, and unConstitutional, but there won’t be enough time to change the map back with the Election coming up in a very short period of time. The Election Process, as usual, is being disturbed in America! Missouri must be able to use the map that was in effect just a couple of months ago, in the Primary. As a side note here - In my experience, it's also been primarily conservatives who push the opinion that the military is wildly corrupt, incidentally. In my experience, liberals, on the other hand, tend to be far less certain about how corrupt it actually is, but want real government accountability across the board, regardless.

Surely mad raving like this does him more harm than good.
There's only a minority even of his MAGA base who don't think the name change was a dumb idea. Nobody could be remotely fooled by claims these corporations' aquiesence is in any way enthusiastic. The suggestion that a magical wave of patriotism has started business 'booming' on the US side just looks like the BS it is.
I do hope that when he lies as obviously as this, more wavering voters get the message he's cleary just lying about this thing so how much else is he lying about?
