I honestly think he'd go balls out and shout a call to arms amongst his idiot supporters if the end looks inescapable. Basically another Jan 6 except hopefully this time they'll be prepared.

He doesn't necessarily need the full support of the Army. Groups of a few officers and rogue units have pulled off successful coups.

My guess? Blue tsunami in mid-terms, Trump will cry election fraud to no avail, he'll get impeached. Then when he sees a looming conviction in the Senate, go scorched-earth with bizarre Executive Orders and calling on all able bodied men and women to come to his defense (wink, wink).
He'll be removed from office and there'll be protests and violence across the country. Vance will serve out the remainder of his term limping and useless. Dems win White House in 2028 and we all can finally exhale.

The Dems won't get the required 2/3 majority in the Senate. Impeachment will just be for theatre only.
I think Trump will become so unpopular even within his party that they can get the votes. And I think the charges (and there's a myriad Dems could choose from) will be so damning and conclusive that there could be no other verdict. I think 2/3 might be close but not entirely unreachable.
