I am sure there are many coutries who would grant him asylum.

I am sure there are several rich Oxford colleges who could give him a sinecure. and he could have a cottage in one of the villages where spooks and defectors retire to, grow roses and go to the pub in the evening where everyone is careful not to ask what you did before retiring.

Trump and Co have gotten us into a war that even a lot of MAGA didn't want and don't support and that he can't seem to figure out how to end, the cost of living hasn't come down for the average American and the promised benefits of the arbitrary tariff war Trump is continuing to wage haven't materialized for them, and the Epstein mess is still a mess. Midterm elections are coming up, and the GOP/MAGA desperately need an issue to distract from their failures. It doesn't matter that their attacks on Fauci are basically irrelevant CTs from years gone- these moral morons are counting on their base and enough voters outside of it to have the usual attention span of social media addicts, short enough that any actual history won't matter.
