The so-called "Digital Equity Act," a Biden DEI law, was ruled exactly what I said it was last year - A RACIST and UNCONSTITUTIONAL giveaway that never should have become Law.

He's partially correct.

A federal judge ruled that the specific provision within the Digital Equity Act that authorized the use of race to award federal funds is unconstitutional. However, the court ruled that this provision is severable, meaning the rest of the $2.75 billion broadband grant program can proceed without race-based factors. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Like I say it doesn't have to be real gold, and given the reflecting pool debacle if it peels off after a few days that will be fine, so long as Trump gets a kickback from the contractor.

Of course that wouldn't be a spontaneous normal conversation question... for any age. To me, this particular objection reeks of the same kind of thing as calling kids crisis actors and attacking them for publicly speaking out against gun irresponsibility after a school shooting did. It's entirely plausible that a 12-year old could have come up with and posed a question like that, even though it obviously wouldn't be normal for anyone of any age to do so.

According to this article, it's part of an ongoing price war with Wal-Mart and Aldi, and also connected to a recent deal for Kroger to acquire Giant Eagle.
