I'd be more impressed if those same stores started discounting holiday candy after the holidays again.
 
Jones: Because Trump is bombastic and sometimes hyperbolic in his delivery, they are going to leverage that to maybe even ruin this country… regardless of the fact that he has gotten us out of many more wars than you can arguably say he ever started

They weren’t fixing their cars, they were tampering with factory installed controls.
They were sent to prison after being paid to remove emission control equipment from several hundred diesel trucks.

The person Trump was almost certainly referring to was:

Troy Lake - a Wyoming diesel mechanic who owned Elite Diesel Service.

He pleaded guilty to violating the federal Clean Air Act by directing employees to disable federally required emissions-monitoring (OBD) systems on at least 344 commercial diesel trucks.

The modifications made it appear that emissions equipment was functioning when it had been tampered with.

He served about 7 months of a 1-year sentence, not 7 years. His company was also fined and placed on probation before Trump later pardoned both him and the company.

Right now Taylor Swift's wedding seems to be getting a lot more media coverage then Trump's extravanga. Usually I would mourn a celeb wedding getting more media coverage then the 250th anniversay of my country, but not in this case.
BTW the Great State Fair had to close because of excessive heat...which anybody could have told Donnie was a good possibllity, DC summer weather being what it is. And for the once the old cliche is true it is DC's heavy humidity as much as the actual heat. I have been in DC when it reaches a 100 and it is pretty bad. And I come from where you can expect probably 20 days of 100 plus in the Summer.

Why would anyone put up scaffolding on the White House during the country’s 250th birthday, right before the 4th of July?

It seems that the scaffolding that's gone up on the Whitehouse is to change the columns to match the style being used on the new Ballroom, from Ionic to Corinthian.

How would anybody notice? More likely it's to end the embarrassgly low attendance, like covering up the taking down his name at the Kennedy Center.

Delivering papers . . . when we were teenagers, we worked at UPS loading trucks. That was work jerkoff. What you do now is the furthest thing from it. I'd much rather pay for schoolkid's lunches than your salary you ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ layabout.
