It's to hide the facts that an algae-filled pond, when drained and drying, will rapidly turn black, putrify and stink. Even despite the failing, US-flag-blue, inappropriately-chosen pipe lining. So typical of anything Trump touches: it turns to stench and death.

Bet it won't stop Donny "inspecting" it again by driving his convoy along it when it is empty again, though.

The National Science Foundation is making drastic cuts to basic research in favour of a program to turn discoveries into commercial products.

There's a problem here. Without basic research you really reduce your chances of making new discoveries.

As noted in the thread Trump's promised ICE raids have begun, the USA is mimicking a common Russian strategy of silencing its critics: arrest, trial, and harsh prison sentences.
