Trump's Second Term

He thinks he can travel. We will see.
I’ll be going to the G7, in France, immediately following what will be one of the Most Entertaining Nights in American History, the UFC World Championship Fights on the South Lawn of the White House. Records indicate that whilst fights of a much lower level took place at the White House throughout its long and storied History, nothing even close to this, the Greatest Fighters in the World, CHAMPIONS ALL, was even thought of for the People’s House! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Today, Sec Rubio confirmed what we’ve all suspected: foreign governments are actively using disinformation campaigns and influencer psyops to undermine our foreign policy and rip our country apart.

There is nothing organic about these destructive protest networks

SECRETARY RUBIO: "There's no doubt that when you have people showing up with pre-printed signs 24 hours after Nicolás Maduro was arrested and extradited to the United States, that's not an organic movement. Someone's paying for that."

Looking forward to the White House Monster Truck Rally, the White House Spitting Championship, and the White House Wet T-shirt Contest.

Jesus, Marco! How ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ stupid can you get? This isn't the 19 Century. People have these things now called "computers" and "printers", right in their own homes. Hell, they even have this thing called "the internet" that lets them instantly send each other "files" they've made for these "printers".

Or do you know that, and you're just so ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ corrupt, boot-licking toady that you'll willingly lie to promote what you know is an excuse to justify Trump sending in goons to crack the heads of citizens who protest his self-serving regime?

They desperately need to fight the idea that people will protest their antics organically and on their own. They need some kind of Goldsteinism to blame otherwise they might have to realize people think they are the baddies.

What I get from this is that it takes Rubio more than a day to figure out how to use a printer.

Not really. The US is a big place. Lots of places to live.
80% of the population lives in a major metro area
The critique of "walkable cities" concerns crime. If the city is unsafe, it doesn't matter how walkable you want to make it, people aren't going there.
Walkability actually helps lower crime. It encourages people to go out an know each other and to be civically engaged. It also increases more people watching out for the neighborhood. This means the people living there are providing their own safety without government intervention like more police. Doesn't that sound like a good conservative value?

Also, you are confusing something being unsafe with the perception of it being unsafe. Which, ironically leads it to being unsafe.

That paper is 30 years old. Right at the start of the global decrease in crime. Have the researchers since revisited? Also, we 're discussing why crime or the perception of crime is happening. One reason is that cities have been engineered to prioritize personal cars of pedestrians and public transit.

Maybe a mod can split the walkability vs car centric posts into its own thread?
