Trump's Second Term

"What does that mean?" -- Trump struggles to understand a reporter with a French accent and then says of French help in the Strait of Hormuz, "We don't need them"

He is psychologically incapable of admitting he needs any help, so he flatly denies needing it (just like that toe-curling put down of Ukraine's offer of its hard-won drone expertise yesterday). But he also can't bear that everyone isn't eagerly joining in anyway, so he threatens them with vague consequences if they don't lend support he denies needing.

He is so pathetically thin-skinned, and trapped in a stupid elephant trap he built for himself.

Complete, utter, blather.

Fox News’ Peter Doocy: “Now that you've announced that the U.S. has destroyed all of Iran's mine-laying ships, why can't the U.S. just immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz?”President Trump: “Well, we could, but it takes two to tango. We have to get people to take their billion dollar ship and drive it up. When Pepe has his big sugar ships coming around and they cost $1 billion and we say, ‘I think it's okay now, Pepe, take your ship, drive it through the Strait of Hormuz.’ He may say, ‘let me wait a little while’ because… these ships are very expensive. They can cost up to $2 billion, so they don't want to take a chance that gee, I think you'll be okay.”“We don't know if they even said any mines. But the thought that they may have is enough to keep people from saying, we don't need it.”

I know inflation's bad (Thanks Trump), but the cost of that ship doubled in one demented ramble!

All it takes is every country's reporters to ask if he needs their ships...

WHAT THE EVER-LIVING ◊◊◊◊ ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? YOU MAKE GRANDPA SIMPSON LOOK LIKE SHAKESPEARE!!!

Trump: "It's a little unfair. You win a war, but they have no right to be doing what they're doing."

Do you need someone to explain what a war is? Or just to explain what winning is?

Once upon a time, Napoleon defeated Russia's armies, and marched his army into Moscow, and sat there and waited for Russia to surrender. And waited. And Russia did not surrender.

That ended less than optimally for the fellow who imagined he had won.

I cannot think what it was that put that story into my head right now.

Did he call you sir?

TRUMP: I've spoken to a certain president, who I like actually, a past president, he said, 'I wish I did it.' But they didn't do it. I'm doing it.

Q: Which president?

TRUMP: I can't tell you that. It would be very bad for his career even though he's got no career left.
And he lives in Canada….

He's talking to the pictures of past presidents and pretending they're answering, isn't he?

How MAGA is not embarrassed by their leader is beyond my comprehension. Most cult leaders say stuff that make some kind of sense, even if built on axioms on nonsense. Trump just says nonsense and then other nonsense that contradicts the nonsense he just said and MAGA is like "amen!".

Maybe he's doing Dorean Grey wrong and there's a portrate of him in a cupboard in Mar-a-Lago that stays young as he grows old and rots from the inside out. You know, like a normal portrate of an evil old man. And he's been talking to that.
