No war aims. That always inspires the troops. A clear lack of purpose.

I'm becoming increasingly persuaded that Planigale was right: Israeli intelligence learned Iranian senior leadership were meeting to discuss negotiations with the US (perhaps even a potential deal) and decided to bomb them rather than lose the opportunity. The US had to decide whether to join in or stand back and watch.

So there are no war aims because it wasn't planned as a war, at least not by the US. It was just an opportunity grabbed by Israel.
