US embassy in Beirut 'closed until further notice'
The United States embassy in Lebanon's capital, Beirut, says it "will be closed until further notice".
The announcement follows the US closing its embassy in Kuwait until further notice and its diplomatic mission in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after it was hit by a drone. The US also evacuated the Jordanian embassy yesterday after explosions were heard nearby.

US citizens are urged to shelter in place and "review security plans in the event of an attack"., external
Dhahran, on Saudi's east coast, is a major centre of the oil industry - and is home to the headquarters of the Saudi national oil firm Aramco.

Trump: I'm not happy with the UK either. That island. He made a lease of the island. Somebody came and took it away from him. And it's taken 3 or 4 days for us to work out where we can land. This is not Winston Churchill that we're dealing with.
