I doubt that. Future historians will have a clear and easy answer to that question because they will have access to chemical autopsy results: it's lead. Boomer lead exposure. That's going to be their understanding of the madness of this era. It's not the complete picture, of course, but it underlies everything that's happened for decades now. An enormous number of people have poison in their brains.

Proof Please? That is a pretty radical idea.
 
I've seen the fact that children are no longer being poisoned by breathing in the lead in petrol fumes seriously suggested as a significant contributing factor to the drop in most types of crime, especially violent crime, over the last 30 years, so it's not that radical.
 
I've heard that too, but it's one of those things that I've heard, I don't know the source, and it was so long ago that I feel like I need some kind of verification for the claim.

Obviously if you give a hammer to a baby it will hit things. It was pretty obvious that if you give a military force to Trump, he'd blow things up. Since he hasn't been allowed to invade Greenland, and Venezuela was such a success, it was pretty obvious he'd attack Iran again. Since the peace talks seemed to be moving forward it was vital to launch an attack before they could come to a successful conclusion.

I was thinking it's amazing how much headline grabbing foreign policy Trump can instigate to distract from Epstein.

But the toddler and hammer analogy is also apt.

In general the POTUS does have a lot of leavers to pull to do stuff in the world. However they all have very many potential consequences, not just the primary one that they are intended to effect, many of which make other things worse. Also the more frivolously that power has been wielded in the past, the more likely the adverse effects will happen.

Many presidents have been reluctant to act because of this, but not Trump.

Even his renaming the DoD to Department for War gives the lie to his claim to be reducing US involvement in wars. Because defence is not offensive war.

Wars aren't cheap, clearly a lot of people in the US arms industry will be making profits, which I thought Trump had said he'd limit; did anything happen about that?

How does the US afford to keep blowing up expensive munitions, let alone giving them to Israel to blow up?
 
I thought the power to declare war was given to congress? This can't be interpreted as a police action like Venezuela, there hasn't been any attack on the US by iran not even by alleged proxies. Is this under 9/11 war on terror authorisation? Congress should have really repealed much of that legislation.

Since before I was born. It's not been consistently downhill since Nixon but the uphill sections have been short

Remember he didn't know why he couldn't use nuclear weapons.
 
It does need a bit of whisky, I think, along with mashed swede (rutabaga) and potatoes
