a flimsy character...perfidious and despised
He should eat Tube Steak and Cleveland Steamers.I would love it if they invited Landry up to partake in some traditional Inuit foods like caribou and seal blubber.

Droll-lol!
Tariffs on avocados. And now all hell has broken out South of the border.
After a drug kingpin was killed by Mexican authoraties...and you won;t see any tears from me over that....other drug groups have gone on a kiling spree all over Mexico. Very ugly. Tourists told to shelter in place.
Wonder how Donnie will handle this one.
I am hearing that it is local loyalists to El Mencho causing retaliatory damage (banks and gas stations) so far, with a few targeted attacks against law enforcement. In the coming days and months the turf wars to fill the power void will intensify. This was all part of the (now laughable) tariff deal that Sheinbaum made. US intel was used to track the guy.And now all hell has broken out South of the border.

I have friends, expats living in Puerto Vallarta, who spent the day in fear for their lives. They felt the explosions.
All this with weapons smuggled from the US. Mexico should demand that the US stops the smuggling. This happens often when cartels take a loss. I am south of the big city in central Mexico and it's calm as usual. The affected cartel was active here for a while but now with a internal territory war having played out a few years ago its been very calm. Even the addicts are reduced in number due to fent becoming the favorite. They don't last long.
Some schools are taking days off to let things settle out but for the most part it's business as usual.
To be honest other backlash from cartels taking hits resulted in gunfights in the streets and stolen trucks being turned into armored cars. Much worse than this time.
If you happen to be directly in the area of the burning vehicles yeah, lay low. In a week it will be business as usual. Insurance will cover the vehicle losses, the wrecks will disappear and tourism will be pushed harder.
It has reachedd the point where the cartels are becoming the defacto government in parts of Mexico. No govnerment can look the other way at that.I am hearing that it is local loyalists to El Mencho causing retaliatory damage (banks and gas stations) so far, with a few targeted attacks against law enforcement. At least Mexico has an excuse. An old man of privilege that travels with a Dr, gets admitted to the finest hospital care on suggestions of a medical issue and private rooms instantly isn't going to see medical care like the rest of us.
He has never seen a bill, doesn't know what special procedures and tests cost in the least. He has no reason to care. He gets them instantly without appointments.
I have received ER care that was patch up, stop bleeding profusely and good luck. The door is over there.
Here's a prescription you can't afford. And I had to pay for the very basic care. I was grateful for it.
Not having insurance really shows up when there is no one to pay for the stuff that makes private hospitals profitable. State run hospitals are worse in Mexico, I as a non citizen may not even get ER care, rather sent to a local clinic if it wasn't immediately life threatening.
But the free state hospitals here are not free, seriously understaffed and not a first choice if you have a choice.
They never have the free medication you are told to take for a cure. But a pharmacy outside the hospital does.
Of course rhat old man in his golden tower can't understand that you have a real problem getting good care, worse when that same idiot is gutting the systems because they look bad on paper as huge costs.
Put his ass on an average poor person's medical options and wait until he has to fill out insurance paperwork in a waiting room as he waited in a long line of others.

Nobody's been game to tell him that the midterms are going to be the living end for him and MAGA, ratings-wise.
The armed man shot and killed by Secret Service agents outside Mar-a-Lago had reportedly become increasingly obsessed with the Epstein files and was also a vocal Trump supporter.
