Don't think Amazon are the slightest bit interested in making a profit off this. ;) Also, it's peanuts for them, found-behind-the-sofa-cushions money.

It's clearly a political donation to Trump to seek some sort of favour. So what is this "favour" they are expecting?

I understand, but also I don't think so. Amazon is bigger than Trump by most measures. Amazon is, by most measures, the rheumy eye of Sauron, not Trump. Bezos simply wants to pull the levers of power without actually looking like he has access to them (which would be a PR nightmare, corporate-wise). So a little gifty-poo helps grease the tiny, orange palm attached to the singular tiny, orange neuron. So my question was: What's in it for Bezos. We should look for something entirely practical...for Bezos. He doesn't do stupid like Trump does.

I'm thinking of having a bunch of bumper stickers made up that say, "Trump's Damn Stupid Memorial" and putting them on all the public toilets in my town. Anyone know where I can get a good deal on them?
 
This threat to the Kennedy Centre seems to be yet another distraction...from the Epstein situation and ICE. And probably the Texas special election loss. Not to mention his beloved but absolutely abyssal ratings.

So how soon before he announces that "You all have TDS, I never said I was going to demolish anything, be quiet piggy!"?

Kevin Couch was hired January 16th as the center’s vice president of programming. He resigned January 29th.
