Trump's Second Term

In February Donald appointed himself as a general trustee (replacing a prior appointee) and appointed several allies to the board. The newly constituted board then unanimously elected him as Chair.

I have just been informed that the highly respected Board of the Kennedy Center, some of the most successful people from all parts of the world, have just voted unanimously to rename the Kennedy Center to the Trump-Kennedy Center, because of the unbelievable work President Trump has done over the last year in saving the building. Not only from the standpoint of its reconstruction, but also financially, and its reputation. Congratulations to President Donald J. Trump, and likewise, congratulations to President Kennedy, because this will be a truly great team long into the future! The building will no doubt attain new levels of success and grandeur.

Agreed. I'm clearly missing something here. When Venezuela's domestic production was about a million barrels a day, why would they be importing oil from Iran? Is this a sanction-avoiding scam where they import Iranian oil and then sell it as Venezuelan? (Like the apartheit-era scam where lots of "Bulgarian" wine was South African in a Bulgarian bottle.)

Indeed, I spent some time out there in the early 2000's as the crane company I worked for was contracted on a refinery near Puerto la Cruz and I got lumbered with being the project accountant. We did the biggest lift, at that time, in South America as part of it.

I didn't know about China sending troops to Venezuela. There was also Darfur, as I mentioned. Probably a few other very minor little incursions here and there. But no real actual wars. I'm not even sure when the last time that China even STARTED an actual real full-blown, full-scale war. As far as I know, China has always been a victim, even since the Boxer Rebellion. And even then, there were a lot of Chinese states that fought among themselves for centuries. Usually between three major kingdoms. I'm not very well-read on Asian history, but I do know quite a bit about Western history, particularly US history specifically. And never once in our nation's history has China ever come to actual blows with the US. Not by it's own choosing.

In other words, you landed on an outright lie (Venezuela does NOT engage in illegal narcotics sales in the United States), and a violation of their national sovereignty with its right to trade with whomever they please. Meanwhile, there was no source to back up the claims about the narcotics issue, because....well.... We all know that to be a lie.
