Doubtful.
Republicans might not lose to a primary challenger pushed by Trump if they wait out the deadline, but they can still lose to a Democrat or Independent when Trump attacks them.

What I find interesting is that apparently to so-called most powerful navy in the world, manned by the so-called best warriors in the world is unable to overpower a glorified fishing boat, arrest those on board and show the drugs to the world, but rather only can shoot them out of the water.
