JFC, aren't they getting sick of this ass hole? The media caves and bribes him and he still rants and raves over difficult questions. Hell, CBS bribed him with $$$ and a sycophant as news editor. It will get them nowhere, and no, he can't pull a network's license; they don't have them, the local affiliates do.
 
Eric heard someone say Arlington and assumed it was the one in TX instead of VA.
They moved headquarters from Seattle to Arlington County, VA in 2023, though they still maintain a large presence in Seattle

I pressed Trump on MBS's role in the Khashoggi killing during a tape-recorded interview on Jan. 22, 2020:
“I’ve gotten involved very much,” Trump said. “I know everything about the whole situation.”
So what happened, sir? I asked.
“I saved his ass," Trump said. “That’s what happened.”
Saved whose ass?
“MBS,” Trump said. “They were coming down on him very strongly. But I was able to get Congress to leave him alone. I was able to get them to stop. . . You know, I’m very friendly with those guys.”
Which guys? The Saudis?

Why do I get the feeling that this would just lead to certain people using dogs to attack people and then trying to use that law against the people if unsatisfied with how much they were hurt?

I'm afraid we're at the point where the king can do whatever he pleases. What's left of the checks and balances is that people can bitch and moan when he oversteps a new boundary, which has no effect and invariably leads to them getting hate and threats from the cultists.

Watching Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) say he would vote for the legislation he has been opposing for months that would compel the DOJ to release the Epstein files, and that he expected that vote to be unanimous, I was reminded of the televised Watergate hearings at which Chief of Staff H R Haldeman and another of Nixon's advisors, John Ehrlichman, denied any wrongdoing. My father, a Nixon supporter, came home from work to discover his three sons watching their testimony. After watching for half a minute, he said "I believe he's telling the truth!" His youngest son said "He's lying through his teeth." My father looked to his other two sons, who confirmed the youngest's conclusion.

I do not expect the Epstein affair to mimic the Watergate scandal. In 1973, there were quite a few elected Republicans, including senators such as Howard Baker and Barry Goldwater, who still retained a shred of decency, integrity, and commitment to country over party. That was 50+ years ago.

trump bloviated for months about sending the military into New York City if Zohran Mamdani was elected mayor, yet trump has no problem sitting in the Oval Office and telling the American people it's "an honor " to be "a friend" of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman. And you know bin Salman probably thinks of trump as garbage. Except he's the American president so he's useful garbage.
