Email release an attempt to 'smear President Trump', says White House

The White House has responded to this release of emails by House Democrats.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says: “The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump.

"These stories are nothing more than bad-faith efforts to distract from President Trump’s historic accomplishments, and any American with common sense sees right through this hoax and clear distraction from the government opening back up again.”

CNN reported the Navy captain, a troop commander with Navy SEAL Team Six and a Purple Heart recipient, had been ranked the top officer for promotion in her cohort and was in line to take charge over the elite unit until the plans were scrapped just two weeks before a formal ceremony was scheduled, and thanks to the Navy's “up or out” policy, her military career was effectively ended.

“They want to keep it the brotherhood and don’t like that she’s coming in and challenging the status quo,” a Navy special operations source familiar with the situation told CNN.

Not advocating by any means, just wondering out loud. Odds of Hegseth getting "accidently" fragged while inspecting a base in the near future? The odds seem to be very low, yet higher now then they were a year ago.

Yeah, the science community and socially-responsible people in general tend to view the prospect of climate change as, well, bad.

It's Hegseth's MAGA chums who seem intent on sacrificing ecosystems as an offering to their holy trinity of coal, oil and cash.
