Trump's Second Term

Of some note, the latter statement there does not actually support the former statement.

Taking things a step further though, being accused of violent crimes doesn't automatically make it a credible accusation. The BLM protests brought us such wonderful situations like when a person just driving by in the vicinity of a protest had police block their path, break their windows, and steal their baby to make a propaganda post about how they were rescuing babies from rioters. Police assaulted a lot of peaceful protestors and people in the general vicinity, as a general matter. A greater than 90% wrongful arrest rate would be no surprise whatsoever.

Or, they were daring to run an aide station, as happened to a daughter of a former member of this board.

That may be so, but he isn't wrong about illegal immigrants being illegal. He's President, the people who voted him into office want somebody to fix that problem.
First MAGA rule: repeat a lie often enough until it becomes "truth". Border and visa violations are not crimes. People who do this are not criminals for doing it, any more than a tourist with a missing visa or out-of-date passport. So they are NOT illegals.

References:
856 Q: “Your response to people who say you haven’t been transparent enough about demolishing the East Wing?”
TRUMP: “I haven’t been transparent? Really? I showed this to everybody that would listen. Third rate reporters didn’t see it because they didn’t look. You’re a third rate reporter. Always have been.”

857. Trump: “Ask former President Barack Hussein Obama whether or not he really believes that in 2020 Joe Biden got 15 Million more Votes than he did in 2012 (65.9 vs. 81 Million). Additionally, ask him why it is that Joe Biden “beat” Obama in every single Swing State with the Black Vote in 2020, even though Black Voters hate him, but in no other State? THE 2020 ELECTION WAS AN ILLEGAL SCAM/HOAX THAT THE PEOPLE OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY WILL NEVER FORGET!”

858. Trump: “The ranchers are so happy for what I’ve done. I saved them. I don’t think you’d have any beef in this country if I didn’t do that. So we’re very proud of that.”

859. Trump: “The Cattle Ranchers, who I love, don’t understand that the only reason they are doing so well, for the first time in decades, is because I put Tariffs on cattle coming into the United States, including a 50% Tariff on Brazil. If it weren’t for me, they would be doing just as they’ve done for the past 20 years Terrible! It would be nice if they would understand that, but they also have to get their prices down, because the consumer is a very big factor in my thinking, also!”

850. Trump: “The only cost that’s really up is beef and the fake news only wants to talk about beef. And what I did is I made it possible for those people to survive. But they were being decimated by other countries. So prices are way down, groceries are down, everything is down ... our country has never done better.”

861. Raju: “You said yesterday you were still trying to get the details of this $230m the president wants from the DOJ. Now that you’ve had some time, are you ok with taxpayers potentially being on the hook for that kind of money?”
Mike Johnson: “I’m not trying to dodge the question. I haven’t had time to get the details. That’s still on my list of things to do.”

862. Miller: “Robert De Niro is a sad, broken old man who is mostly enraged because he hasn’t made anything worth watching in at least 30 years. Probably the longest string of flops, failures, embarrassments. This man has been degrading himself on camera with one horrific film after another for my entire adult life and he is not taken seriously by anybody. Not by his family, friends, community. He is a shell of a man and everybody disregards everything he says.”

863. Beck: “I saw firsthand in Asheville, NC, how FEMA discriminated against Trump supporters. But I couldn’t prove how widespread it was until now. DHS just confirmed FEMA blacklisted Americans during disasters over their religious and political beliefs. This is as UN-AMERICAN as it gets.”

864. Trump: “He’s a thug and bad guy. He’s a guy that is making a lot of drugs. We just as of today stopped all payments going to Columbia. The country Colombia. Also, the school Colombia. No, we settled ... he better watch it or we’ll take very serious action against him and his country”

865. Leavitt: “What Trump is doing is completely different. The ballroom he is constructing will likely survive as a symbol of American power long after we are all gone. It will be, in a sense, our generation’s contribution to the people’s home.”

Ehh... At last check, it's a little more complicated than that. Really short and dirty version? Some border violations were on the books as misdemeanors in practice and generally were just fined, with the potential for felony on repeat. Under Bush, it became practice to punish more harshly at whim and measures were taken to "streamline" the process by greatly limiting the ability to seek due process. As a general matter, though, that approach just isn't all that effective.

Research strongly suggests that entry-related prosecutions do not deter future migration; rather, migration to the United States is driven primarily by factors such as the security situation and economic conditions in a migrant’s home country and whether or not a migrant has family in the United States. This is the case with recent migration from Central American countries, which is driven in large part by high levels of violence in El Salvador and Honduras. Shifts in the economies of the United States and Mexico play a large role in migration trends as well. For example, although undocumented migration decreased in 2008 when criminal prosecutions began to rise significantly, many experts viewed the decrease in arrivals as a result of the “great recession”—the lack of economic opportunity in the United States and growing opportunities in Mexico.

Although DHS has long stated that the goal of Operation Streamline is to deter migrants from attempting to enter the United States, the DHS Inspector General has identified shortcomings with the data DHS gathers to assess the initiative, noting that DHS is “not fully and accurately measuring Streamline’s effect.”

Also, perhaps the biggest single issue with the line that you responded to is that while illegal immigrants may indeed be illegal, Trump and co aren't particularly concerned about accuracy when it comes to who they accuse of being just about anything negative.

No, it makes it clear what the central, core point is.

I've yet to see anybody even claim a specific illegal activity by ICE, much less have it proved in court. Regardless, physically assaulting and obstructing ICE in the performance of its duties is illegal, even if you think that ICE is engaged in illegal activities. The fact that the people who commit these crimes are convicted should show that.
You should compare that list of claims that people will be charged to actual people convicted.

Nope, wrong. The Foundation did fund many of these charities, but they themselves didn't fund or organize the protest, although, volunteers did, but not on company time.

Call them up and ask them. I did.

So, try again.
Why should I call? I never said that Soros funded the protests directly. You are the one who brought that up.

You didn't have to. It was easy enough to Google, and besides, I wanted to see how thorough your search methods were, and they are inadequate, and besides, it doesn't matter how many cities, because it proves your blanket statements are wrong.

I mean, how many more like Ivan Harrison Hunter were at all the alleged "riots", or in Portland right now?

Charles Manson was an amateur compared to these guys.
All you have is one guy, who, from all public records, had little to no influence on the riots that took place across the country. It's no wonder you obsess about him, because he's all you have.

Those who were convicted prove that the Leftist attacks on the United States were not staged by the Right. Those videos we have of Leftists breaking shop windows and looting actually do represent what the Democrats and Leftists do when they want attention or don't get their way.

See, that's what I mean about being a poor researcher.

You ignore the group he admitted he belonged to, and they are definitely not made up of just one person.

Yes, border and visa violations literally and legally *are* crimes! They are violations of criminal laws! Improper Entry is a violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1325 and is a misdemeanor on the first offense. Illegal Re-Entry is a violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1326 and is a felony based on prior deportation/removal. Marriage/Visa Fraud violates 8 U.S.C. § 1325(c), a felony. Remaining in the U.S. after a valid visa has expired (visa overstay), or violating the terms of a visa (e.g., working on a tourist visa) or engaging in activities outside the scope of the visa (e.g., studying on a non-student visa) are civil violations, but sneaking into the US (or just about any other country, under their laws) is a violation of criminal laws.

So basically, you want to arrest people for misdemeanors. Got it.

What about the worst of the worst? How many of those has ICE actually deported? You'd think with all that manpower, they'd find them all, especially the 11 to 60 million (depending on the maga weirdo making the claim) evil people Biden (or his clone) let in the country.

The great thing about the deportations is America will be crime free when they are completed.

Can you show that the people breaking shop windows and looting were actual leftists? By that, I mean people who believe in economic equality, DEI, universal healthcare, social safety nets, workers' rights, LGTBQ+ rights, publicly funded education, racial equality, immigration reform, gun control, and redistricting reform?

Or were they anarchists and apolitical hoodlums using a chaotic situation to their own advantage?

I'll remind you that last month 7 million people gathered on one day to protest Trump's administrations, and there were no riots and very, very few arrests.

Thanks for confirming what I said.

And "sneaking in" is a visa violation, i.e. a misdemeanor. Sure, by all means find them and remove them. But first, maybe you should check BEFORE you arrest them that they really are visa violations, not valid residents or citizens. And that doesn't make them an "illegal" anyway

Oh, and now try to make asylum-seekers criminals. That will be a fun wait.
