A lack of a conviction is immaterial, Trump and the AG will simply declare the judge to be left-biased and attempt to sack them.

He almost asked for it directly, reortedly; he called Jens Stoltenberg (Norway's Minister for Finance, former Prime Minister and SG of NATO) in August, out of the blue, ostensibly to discuss tariffs, and brought it up (not for the first time)
