Trump sure misses his people. He said all the same things he said to generals, and people at the rallies clapped. He also misses the rallies. he is not able to run the rallies for 2026 because of his health. They will have rallies, but his part is going to be limited. It takes an hour or more to get him ready for the stage. Otherwise he looks like the senior golfer he is.

You and a couple others beat me to the general thrust there. I was thinking gold plated ships with big, bright, coal powered lights always illuminating the "splendor" as the new, improved Trump-brand stealth, though. Trump aesthetics!

With that phrasing, my mind goes... perhaps not darker, because that entire ◊◊◊◊◊◊ concept is dark, but to how a lot of people, especially right wing males in this context, earnestly want to have sex and how sexual consent has been proclaimed to be woke. Also, nearly all of those people earnestly want to be rich and selling off government property is just a little mistake in how to get there, right?? This BS, combined with the rest, is a big step closer to Russia's famously corrupt and criminal military. Sure, it's extremely bad for the American people and the actual quality of the military, but Trump would love to be getting a nice fat cut of all that corruption.

Yes. It's possible. No, they wouldn't be above that. With that said, it's also unnecessary, given Trump. Trump was famously idiotic on that front even without them needing to intervene and repeatedly embarrassed himself with similar nonsensical proclamations about bad stuff just having happened in <insert place> during his first term that could be linked to something on TV. He's deteriorated greatly since then, all around, so there's even less need to propose people like Stephen Miller doing it. One can't rule it out, but it's unnecessary to explain the observed behavior.

it’s frustrating because these guys are the weakest, lamest nerds you can imagine and they’re somehow recreating a nazi regime and everyone is kind of rolling over. it’s really ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ weird
