Other news reports note the US Tennis Association memo to broadcasters specifically mentioned that the Open, including trump's arrival, "will be shown on the World Feed." I guess they don't want people around the world to see trump being booed and jeered by Americans?

That is exactly WHY I think it is so important that people boo and jeer loudly when trump appears. A way for citizens to let the world see first-hand that trump has far from universal support within the United States.

Weirdly this puts me in mind of the fall of Ceausescu in Romania. And not just the prospect of a real crowd booing him, but also all the surreal personality cult stuff which preceded it.

Ah, Ceausescu... Going from undisputed ruler of Romania to fugitive head of a deposed government mid-speech. That video always gives me a warm feeling in my heart.

The funny part is that supposedly he had zero clue he wasn't universally beloved until that moment, he honestly thought the people loved him as much as he loved himself.
