In the United States, psychiatrists are required to have an MD or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). Although a very few US universities offer a PhD in psychiatry, I don't believe a PhD in psychiatry qualifies someone to become a psychiatrist. They need an MD or DO.

The Epstein case is damaging to Trump because normal people already know he's a disgrace, it's the idiots that still support him.

A lot of those are conspiracy theorists (or CT-adjacent) and supported Trump against those in power (the elites and deep state).

They bought into pizzagate. But now they see Trump performing an inept cover-up of one of the few genuine causes célèbres that they had. They are starting to see him as one of the criminal elites (which we all knew, but which is new to them).
