As a foreigner of course I have no knowledge of what the actual law is, but this smells like they are just inventing an accusation of cheating and galloping off in the wrong direction.

I gather they're suggesting that representation is based on census numbers, and that Democrat-voting areas have their numbers disproportionately inflated by non-citizens, i.e. non-voters. They then claim the census should only count citizens. With even my meager knowledge I suspect that's unconstitutional. The census is a count and survey of the people who live in the area, not a count of the citizens there. If there's a problem with extracting citizen numbers to use for zoning to make for fair representation, that's not a problem with the census.

Perhaps they are now legally able to make arrests, but my understanding is that their orders are to not make arrests.

Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson also told reporters Thursday that the guard members will not be conducting law enforcement activities while in D.C., but they could temporarily detain someone until law enforcement could make an arrest.

That would be on-brand: Just like Trump, they have taken on extraordinary emergency powers. Because of the, you know, big emergency that's totally happening somewhere.

But it's fine because they won't use them.

Not as I read it. Given the date of the legislation, I read it that if there isn't a quorum, a few of the attending members can be adjourned to fetch the slackers out of the local saloons and cathouses. Not the house security, not the police. And they have to do it daily, not hold hostages 24/7.

You can see how much they are all working to get him his Nobel peace prize. It is obviously something Trump wants, and he is obsessed about getting it, imagine Trump wants something and reality hasn't conformed with his wishes, that's breaking a basic law of the universe!

Wasn't the census always of everybody living in (place) (besides untaxed indians or something) since the word go? Why is this being framed as sneaky?

If this was a problem why hasn't it been addressed in whatever (checks watch) 235 years?

It'll be 10 wars if anyone challenges him. Maybe 15. People are saying its 15. I don't know, but people are saying its 18.

Now I rather want to understand what Putin's contribution, "being good", amounts to.
