Well of course the sane solution would be to have a program where people could come to the USA to do these seasonal jobs legally, pay taxes and then go home when the season is over. But since that would require displaying some rationality about migration its not going to happen. You can tell they aren't really serious about fixing the problem because they are focused solely on the illegal workers, not the people employing them.

Am I the only one who see the parallels between Putin and Trump. Both destroying their own people just to satisfy their own egos. How much Russian poverty has Putin caused? How many deaths is Putin responsible for? How many more will die? Seems to me that Trump is trying g to do the same here.
 
I'm slowly changing my mind as these fragments of Trump's blethering scroll by. I'm increasingly alarmed that he really is sliding into dementia. It's not that he doesn't feel the need to bother to remember e.g. who a world leader is that he's talking to, rather it's that he's incapable of retaining information and isn't bothering to conceal it.

I just wish he would do it a lot more quickly. Without creating any major events in the interim.

The two can't be directly compared, because Putin is a paranoid bastard, whereas Trump is a stupid bastard.

I hope they both die as soon as possible (by which I mean that the eventual peaceful passing of either [or preferably both] in their sleep would allow people to focus on solving diplomatic, economic and societal issues without reference to the fragile egos and antiquated prejudices of septuagenarian toddlers).

The 'peaceful' and 'in their sleep' parts are negotiable.

I think why people are missing his dementia is because he's continuing to talk his usual nonsense and it's hard to recognize dementia vs fantasies.

He keeps repeating his BS about tariffs. How are we going to know when it's dementia and when he's just lying?

They are not mutually exclusive. In his lucid moments, he's probably lying but doesn't care. In his disconnected moments, he's lying or fantasising and doesn't know or care. In either case, the common factor is his lack of caring about what he says.
