Q: Given the fact Trump put into effect the tariffs on April 2 and then put the pause into place, is the president at all concerned that these countries that are receiving the letters won't take them seriously bc the deadline has shifted already and may shift again?

Maybe if Trump hadn't opened the giant faucet in California to put out the fires, that amount of water wouldn't have been in circulation and so these floods wouldn't have happened. Also the wall he built on the border stopped the water from draining down to Mexico. Additionally, by tearing up the rose garden at the White House, there was less soil and plants to absorb the water.

Anyone have an idea why he's so hung up on 'trade deficit' idea in the first place? Is it just one of those random ball bouncing around in his pachinko machine brain, or are there adults behind him who push and reinforce the idea for some reason?
