Trump's Second Term

Well, if Elon has the goods on the E files, which he claimed in his tweet, then Trump could lose more.
I'm not even sure he would. We already know he's a sex offender, he's outright bragged about everything from assaulting women to barging into locker rooms, and he's been convicted for sexaul abuse. I sort of expect the people who already hated him to keep doing so, while his cultists yell and cry about fake news and forged evidence.

Hoping to be proven wrong, though. And it's a great unfolding ◊◊◊◊ show regardless 🍿🍿🍿

It's not like we can trust the Republican Party to actually hold Trump accountable for... literally anything, given their track record. As you also noted, it would be great for that to change.

The Republicans can't 25th Trump right now. It's barely 200 days since he was elected. That means they would have to admit to the US public that their presidential candidate only just last November was physically or mentally incapable, or both, of holding the office of president. That is, everything they accused Biden of being. And their candidate is a multiply-convicted criminal too. In short, they lied, big time.

And that can't be allowed to happen. Trump is their ablative shield against public opprobrium. So while he still has that effect, they will be doing deals with Musk if needed.

Agreed! BTCohen just replayed an old interview with Trump though in which they asked if he would release the JFK files etc, and he of course quickly said "yeah of course we will release it all" but when they asked about the Epstein files all of a sudden Trump was very careful in his response, which paraphrased was "Oh we might but we have to be careful cause there is fake stuff there that might damage some innocent people"
Which of course means he is referring to himself being in the files. If there is enough opposition to Trump from powerful people like Musk, I think there is at least the potential we could learn something new. Some hard core Maggats will keep defending him, but as a whole the right isn't crazy about pedophiles, and they might reach a breaking point.

But I thought that Harvard was a hotbed of anti-Semitism and that was why the Trump administration was trying to harm it.

Now apparently the problem is that Harvard is a hotbed of not-anti-Semitism?
No, it's completely consistent: the administration says that they have to take action against antisemites, and that they have to admit some to take action against.

They are posting variations on this example

Imagine thinking he can just end billions of dollars of government contracts that are 100% needed for the country.

What a clown Trump is.
Isn't that basically what DOGE has been doing?

Trumps fight against the judicial system has extended to the ICC.
Sanctions against foreign judges and lawyers who haven't followed the opinion of Trump and MAGA. The US no longer supports due process, except where it favours its own prejudices.

I think the US will find itself increasingly isolated. Its power has rested to an extent on others acceptance, but if the rest of the world moves to a non-US dominated financial system, the US is the big loser, and that may very well be the consequence of Trumpp's actions.

What sanctions are these exactly? Not talking to them? Not being in the same city? Refuse to do business with the nations they hail from? Send assassins?

The Epstein files are not actually real.

This is like believing that the government have aliens in Area 51.
Is that what Trump is going to argue, that they aren't real? Well given that some of the files have already been released, and Trump acknowledged that others exist, that would be a tough sell.
Area 51 exists too, I've actually seen it. If there are any aliens there they are probably illegals being furtively detained though ;)

well it’s pretty difficult to picture international finance off the dollar. the euro and yuan have their own undesirable traits and problems. and what else is there?

but i’d imagine the world is looking for an answer
