Trump's Second Term

Shouldn't that bus instead be one of those little battery- or pedal-powered cars they sell for young children, or maybe a Big Wheel?
Depends on whether it represents the real savings or the imaginary claimed savings and if you also take into account the cost of repairing the damage DOGE's vandalism has caused.

Susan Collins...in her last term...is very concerned. Very.
It’s not just conservative hard-liners who need attention: Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) told reporters on Tuesday that she has spoken with administration officials about
her concerns about the potential impact on rural hospitals. Trump also called Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who has raised concern about the House’s changes to Medicaid. Thune and Hawley have met to discuss his position.

Thune is also trying to coordinate with Speaker Mike Johnson, who has urged the Senate to make as few changes as possible to the House bill. But Thune said that was an unrealistic expectation — particularly on the state-and-local-tax deduction, an especially tough issue in the House.

Donald is disappointed with Elon

Trump: "I'm very disappointed because Elon knew the inner workings of this bill better than almost anybody. He had no problem with it. All of the sudden he had a problem, and he only developed the problem when he found out we're gonna have to the cut EV mandate ... he hasn't said bad about me personally but I'm sure that'll be next. But I'm very disappointed in Elon."

Trump: "Elon is upset because we took the EV mandate -- which was a lot of money for electric vehicles -- and they're having a hard time ... I know that disturbed him. He wanted somebody that he knew very well to run NASA and I didn't think it was appropriate. He happened to be a Democrat. We won, we get certain privileges."

Trump with German Chancellor Merz: "I'm not sure that General MacArthur would've said it's positive. He made a statement, 'never let Germany rearm.' I always think about that when he says, 'Sir, we're spending more on defense.' I say, Ooh, is that a good thing or a bad thing? I think it's a good thing."

For once, I think Donald hits the nail on the head. A rare insight.

I mean the whole reason Germany was allowed to rearm after WW2 was precisely to defend against the USSR, and the logic stacks up just as much in 2025.
He never cracked a history book. Probably never cracked a book at all. Daddy paid real students to take his tests for him.

Don't know much about history
Don't know much biology
Don't know much about science book
Don't know much about the French I took

Apologies to Sam Cooke.
