Using that brilliant logic, we never should have had the Revolution, England's army was way bigger than ours....

Definitely observational bias. We don't notice the 1000's of cars on the road who are doing all the right things but we sure notice the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ idiot who just cut us off!Based on what I see on the roads, the number of people who shouldn't drive cars is greater than the number that shouldn't have guns, but it could be observational bias.
Same could be said for nukes if we allowed people to own them.Definitely observational bias. We don't notice the 1000's of cars on the road who are doing all the right things but we sure notice the ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ idiot who just cut us off!
Come to think of it, guns are a similar thing. The millions of sane gun owners who handle their weapons responsibly and always make it impossible for somebody unauthorized to have access to their guns are never mentioned.
Not like that mushroom cloud lover down the road, no sir."While being the only country in the world that HAS actually used them...Same could be said for nukes if we allowed people to own them.
"But, but... I won't shoot mine! I'm responsible! Not like that mushroom cloud lover down the road, no sir."
It was just an observation. I'm not advocating for the right to own guns and I am aware that no matter how carefully you vet prospective gun owners, idiots and nut cases will still slip through the cracks.Same could be said for nukes if we allowed people to own them.

I guess we're well past the point where it's remarkable that the head of state of the biggest economy in the world is unaware of simple facts like the existence of other countries, and is happy to parade that ignorance. "The" Congo? There are two countries with Congo in their name, plus a river of that name.
But he's learned to say 'mental institutions' instead of lunatic asylums (which is where he thinks asylum seekers come from).I guess we're well past the point where it's remarkable that the head of state of the biggest economy in the world is unaware of simple facts like the existence of other countries, and is happy to parade that ignorance. Likely he saw an advert for Umbongo at some point in time and "the Congo" became lodged in his marshmallow brain like a toad in a stone.I guess we're well past the point where it's remarkable that the head of state of the biggest economy in the world is unaware of simple facts like the existence of other countries, and is happy to parade that ignorance. Lil' Marco Rubio learning that international diplomacy is difficult. Atter trump promised that he would end the war in Ukraine on day 1, Rubio is now saying the US will take their ball and go home unless progress is made on peace negotiations.
Whoda thunk?

He neither knows or cares what "the Congo" is except that they drink Umbongo there.
We've put a 100% tariff on 'Um Bongo'. They're not going to like that.He neither knows or cares what "the Congo" is except that they drink Umbongo there.
