Trump's Second Term

He's already suggested he might default on some Treasury bonds. They 'walked it back', but we know what his memory is like. The fact that it would be a disaster would stop anyone sane from even considering it, but sanity is in short supply right now.

Trampy's business strategy: Rack up oodles of debt and walk away when it comes due.

And remember that's 100% of his business "acumen".

Tulsi Gabbard just announced at the Cabinet meeting that her office has obtained evidence of massive vulnerabilities on voting machines that allow hackers to flip votes.
Aha, paper based, in person, on the day, voting so as to ensure that the wrong sort of people don't vote - got it.

China raises import taxes on US goods to 125% as the trade war with the US over Donald Trump's global tariffs escalates

President Xi Jinping calls on the EU to join China in opposing "bullying" from the US, saying "there are no winners in a tariff war"

China and EU are talking about agreed minimum prices on EVs rather than tariffs.

I posted this in the UK politics thread but it may be relevant here.
It seems the world is re-ordering to exclude the USA

The head of the British armed forces has visited China for the first time in a decade.

Admiral Sir Tony Radakin discussed "issues of common concern" with China's military leaders in Beijing, its defence ministry said in a short statement.

"We agreed that in an unstable world we must play our part as responsible nations with global interests," Sir Tony wrote on X, "and we reflected on the importance of military-to-military communications".

Judge Paula Xinis issues an order following tonight's Supreme Court ruling, ordering the government to "take all available steps to facilitate the return of Abrego Garcia to the United States as soon as possible."

Xinis also orders DOJ to file a declaration by 9:30am Friday detailing where Abrego Garcia is and what steps have been and will be taken to facilitate his return.

She wants to be careful. If true, it could have been how Trump scored a victory in 2024. And that admission would be both damaging and embarrassing.

Hey, wait... No it won't. Trump has no shame or scruples whatever.
