Apologies to anyone for a derail, but can we get away with it by saying we are talking about loons? I mean, other loons than the titular one, but some of them live in Merkinania, so that'll be alright, eh?

Cos I reckon a discussion of a bunch of loons entering congress and ******* over Canada and Greenland will go right under the radar.

That's what the appeals process is for. The Supreme Court controls the inferior courts by issuing rulings upon referral to which the lower courts are bound. The administration and some in Congress seem to think impeachment is the proper remedy for dealing with judges who rule against the administration's interest. A few even seem to think it's woefully improper for a court to challenge claims made by the executive. But in fact the principle that an executive's enforcement of the law may itself be unsupported by fact or otherwise unlawful is the bread and butter of the entire criminal justice system.
