I don't think it even has a hint of historical accuracy. Hitler and his stooges didn't need a public sector, they just appointed people to do those things, and then they did them. The only thing they needed was a willing army (which, quite conspicuously, neither Musk or Trump want to touch).

It wasn't the traditional civil service that carried out the holocaust (that had essentially been dismantled by that stage of the war), but a bunch of SS ideologues with assistance from the wehrmacht.

He won that championship and ones at his other golf clubs on years he didn't even enter. He'd just ring up, enquire about the winning score and declare that he'd scored one lower at the club nearest where he was at and thus the real champ.

It got so bad that tghe clubs often had to present two trophies, one for the home (actual) champion and the second for the "overall" (non-playing) champion, Trampy.
 
No, the American dream is if you work hard, anyone can make it, but then discover you haven't made it yet as stuff has got a lot more expensive, and tough luck if you worked hard but your career got chainsawed anyway.

The people in power don't owe you peons big, cheap flat TVs. Suck it up while we gaslight these Canadians and Greenlanders we're going to make them rich.
 
If there's a backlash, a lot of Project 2025 and DOGE operatives are going to be joining Trump and Musk in jail forever. A lot of what they are doing would have been considered treasonable in previous times.

If by some miracle good sense does prevail and America manages to turn the chaos around, I can bet there will be a general consensus to "forgive and forget," and America will go on as if nothing happened. Even Trump will possibly be pardoned in the name of misplaced magnanimity by the Dems.
