I still hold out hope that armed rebellion will not be necessary. However, history seems confident with the notion that once an authoritarian regime has entrenched itself via lawful means, there are few lawful ways to unseat it. During the Night of the Long Inspectors General, at least one IG was forcibly removed from their office by armed security forces after resisting the unlawful firing. It doesn't seem to matter if you have the law on your side if the other side has guns.

Without adequate training and leadership a bunch of frightening people with no military experience would be a liability not an asset to an insurrection.

I know how to operate a firearm but would be useless to a leftist militia (as were most of the international volunteers during the Spanish Civil War).

Perhaps you should point out where any US progressive was ever opposed to gun ownership. Also, how well do you think a couple of handguns will go against a manic dictator who has control of the world's best armed military and has his finger on the nuclear trigger?

If tested on loyalty to Trump or Constitution the military will fracture like it did at the start of the Civil War with about 20% of the officers going to the Confederacy

It appears that Trump as "temporarily" backed off. I suspect he needs time to find a way to save face over this absolutely unnecessary fiasco, idiocy, stupidity.

I assume you mean he has backed off the tariffs. Indeed, it was always possible that he was just threatening them as a means of strong-arming other countries into accepting trade terms unilaterally. But now that he has tipped his hand, and now that it's generally known how much the American public does not want a trade war, this will weaken the strategy for future use. Other countries will be more likely to act as if Trump is merely bluffing.

Donny is a complete coward at heart, which is why he always couches his demands indirectly. Like all bullies, as soon as he is confronted, he backs down, and usually blames someone else. Which does not make him a reliably stalwart leader either.

Most of had already been announced in December.

Trump and the MAGAts are claiming victory and Canada is humiliated.
