I just spoke with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.
It was a very friendly conversation wherein she agreed to immediately supply 10,000 Mexican Soldiers on the Border separating Mexico and the United States.
These soldiers will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl, and illegal migrants into our Country.
We further agreed to immediately pause the anticipated tariffs for a one month period during which we will have negotiations headed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessent, and Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and high-level Representatives of Mexico.
I look forward to participating in those negotiations, with President Sheinbaum, as we attempt to achieve a "deal" between our two Countries.

Elon says, they are tasked by executive order with "modernizing Federal technology and software to maximize governmental efficiency and productivity."

Basicly Sheinbaum made some bs promises that can't be kept and everybody but Trampy knows Mexico won't even bother with and Trampy backed down.

As with the last time, he's all mouth and no trousers unless you give into him.

Well, legally the Senate and the House should be able to check the President. In fact, they should be the government.
But since the GOP is in full control of both and it rubber stamps whatever Trump says, that is out of the window.
The Surpeme court could rule, but since that has been filled with Trump loyalists last turn around, that won't work either.
And there are no laws or actual rules on stopping such abuse of power, as everyone promised not to do that before this, so why codify it into law?

So, barring a popular uprising or Army intervention (both unlikely in the US), then yes, this is what is happening, and yes, I strongly fear the US is following Russia, Venezuela and Hungary into turning into a sham democracy.

Oh, so they are ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ each other. I guess that's cool, at least that'll be less time they spend stealing the nation's resources.
