Trump's Second Term

According to The Times, per a 1917 pact, the UK would have first right of refusal, if Denmark were to sell Greenland.

Which isn't going to happen, but it would be amusing to watch trump's reaction to that.
Maybe that explains why Trump allegedly just said something nice about Starmer.

DOJ ready to deport Injuns. Christy Noem will help empty S Dakota?
The DOJ argued in court that Indigenous people don’t have birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment, so neither should children of noncitizens born in the US
I wonder if the Greenlanders (89% indigenous Inuit) are taking note.

If the DOJ argued that the Navajo didn't have birthright citizenship were they simply ignorant of law that has been established for over a century or were they deliberately ignoring the law as a flex ?

Cue Trump again, explaining that surprisingly it turns out Native Americans are citizens and "people don't know that".

Either that or DOJ just jumped the gun and started before tomorrow's EO genocide surprise.

I understand that Indigenous People have a trust fund or something that was decreed for them several years ago, and it is now worth something like $1 billion (or was it $100 billion?), but they refuse to accept it on principle. I sometimes wonder if someday a progressive, politically active tribes leader would reverse that decision, and use those funds to make the Native American Nation a formidable force in politics.
(But yes, I know the government would screw them out of that money.)

Perhaps you're thinking of this?

Bureau of Trust Funds Administration

What We Do

The Bureau of Trust Funds Administration manages the financial assets of American Indians held in trust by the Department of the Interior. We disburse more than $1 billion annually and have more than $8 billion under active day-to-day management and investment on behalf of Tribes and individuals.

The Bureau of Trust Funds Administration also maintains the official archive of American Indian Records. This program safeguards millions of original, historic documents that detail the Federal government’s treaty obligations to Native Americans.

I'm sure Trump will try to screw them out of it.

From what I understand, the flight never got off the ground.

They did sent two plane loads to Guatemala, probably for roughly the same per capita cost.

Trumpian "efficiency" is mind boggling expensive.

He's got a long way to go to beat our Tories. £300 mil to send iirc three volunteers to Rwanda. Coincidentally approximately the same number of Home Secretaries they sent there. Sadly the latter came back, possibly the former did too, they lost track of at least one.
