Iran denies reaching out to White House, and hits out at "despicable lies", as the supreme leader insists his country will never surrender in its war against Israel.


Donald Trump said he "may or may not" strike Iran - cryptically adding "nobody knows what I'm gonna do".

It comes as Iran's mission to the UN responded to claims made by Trump suggesting Tehran has reached out to Washington.

"No Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the gates of the White House," it said in a written statement.


"The only thing more despicable than his lies is his cowardly threat to 'take out' Iran's Supreme Leader.

The statement added: "Iran does NOT negotiate under duress, shall NOT accept peace under duress, and certainly NOT with a has-been warmonger clinging to relevance.

Given his capacity for churlish revenge, you have to have nothing to lose. IMO the leaders of the EU, China and possibly India are in a position to call him out but the rest are probably best served caving, or at least appearing to do so.

Special nod to Carney for not taking any nonsense either.

I'm sorry but the name Tulsi Gabbard does not need to be associated with "intelligence" of either sort. But especially anything concerning intelligence and national security
