Don't get me wrong. Trump can do a lot of damage. But despite Republican majorities in both Houses of Federal government, his influence is very much limited. Unless the Republicans eliminate the fillibuster, the Senate will hamper his ability to do anything. The Republican majority in the House is paper thin. That means a few House members can throw a monkey wrench into anything he wants to do too. And the power to say no is still a power. Then of course, the States have power.Yes, he's a blow hard as he has no power to stop mail-in ballots. That is determined by each state. Also, the death penalty immediately? Like no trial first? Idiot!
I admit I'm trying to view all of this positively. Maybe a bit of looking at things through rose colored glasses. While Trump seems to a good job at running for President. He was ineffective in his first term. And given that his cabinet lacks experience in government, I'm betting they are going to be just as ineffective as his first cabinet.
