Executive orders cannot be overturned per se, because they are merely direction to subordinate agencies in the executive branch. An order that directs an agency to do something is not per se lawful or unlawful. What the agency actually does to obey an executive order is what becomes actionable in court.

The executive order does not purport to usurp the power of Congress to pass laws or the power of the courts to decide questions of law. It merely states that the Attorney General, as directed by the President, can give superseding interpretations of law for all agencies in the course of their duties. This is pretty much how it has always worked, except that there has previously been some deference to agency-level general counsels mostly because they have better subject-matter knowledge of the laws in their specific area.

Musk and Trump are saying tens of millions of dead people are on SS. I will post a reply that implies this is easy to sort. But that is not their point. They are just going to use this to scrap social security.

This is actually customary in American politics. A U.S. Attorney is a specific politically-appointed office, not all attorneys in the Dept. of Justice. There's one in each judicial district. It's customary for an incoming U.S. President to request the resignation of al U.S. Attorneys and then selectively accept them, often according to party preference.

On that list, we have all the data on glyphosate. Not sure of tiny amounts in food, but in the hands of groundskeepers with no mask and PPE, they get cancer.

Pretty sure that's what RFK Jr means, and as far as I know, you're both wrong about glyphosate causing cancer, but don't @ me.

Makes sense, Trump hired Musk just because he was more "popular" than Trump and Trump likes to keep his enemies close.
