No. Just no. She understands full well, but also knows that her job is to lie brazenly to try to make Trump look better. This honestly isn't a matter of intelligence or understanding, but rather of notably different paradigms about how things work and how things should work.

Also, Trump does try to do many of the things that he says that he will. It's just that those things tend to be things that are harmful to the country and are rooted in his personal self interest and corruption. It's more accurate to treat what Trump says as BS, rather than truth or lie, and then considering the BS from that stance will far more often than not be accurate in separating the wheat from the chaff.

Did you see the signature that he boasted was better than Biden could do? He held it up and while it was very recognisable as his Sharpie scrawl I can see no way to get 'Trump' from the second half.

A lot of people will be tormented for a long time by the fact that Donald Trump got elected and destroyed the world that they helped build so that it could be relied upon. And so a lot of people should rightly not let Tucker Carlson forget his decades-long role in making that happen. These people knew what they were doing. They don't get to suddenly come to a realization of their guilt, mumble a few mea culpas, and then go on to a new grift.
